BMW G90/G99 M5 exhaust systems, downpipes & mid-pipes

R44 Performance stocks 50 exhaust parts for the 2024–2027 BMW G90/G99 M5. Parts include cat-back & valved exhaust systems, downpipes, mid-pipes and exhaust tips, from brands including Deep Tone Industries, Supersprint, Genuine BMW, Akrapovic, Milltek Sport, R44 Exhausts.

Where you upgrade the exhaust decides what changes. A cat-back or valved rear section mainly changes the sound and look while keeping the car civilised. Mid-pipes replace the centre section and are a popular way to add volume and character. Downpipes replace the section after the turbo and, paired with an ECU tune, have the biggest effect on performance.

Some exhaust parts are sold for off-road and motorsport use only. Check the legality notes on each product, see our off-road and EPA disclaimer, or chat to our team for advice. We fit exhausts at R44 HQ in Wembley and deliver across the UK and worldwide.

G90 M5 Exhaust Systems FAQs

What exhaust parts are available for the G90 M5?

R44 Performance lists 50 exhaust parts for the BMW G90/G99 M5, including cat-back & valved exhaust systems, downpipes, mid-pipes and exhaust tips. Brands include Deep Tone Industries, Supersprint, Genuine BMW, Akrapovic, Milltek Sport, R44 Exhausts, and every part is listed for the G90 M5 – check each product page for body style and model-year fitment.

What's the difference between a cat-back exhaust, mid-pipe and downpipe?

A cat-back or rear (often valved) section mainly changes the sound and look. Mid-pipes replace the centre section and are a popular way to add volume. Downpipes replace the section directly after the turbo(s) and are usually paired with an ECU tune.

Do I need a tune after fitting downpipes to my G90 M5?

In most cases, yes. Downpipes change the exhaust flow the engine sees, so they're normally fitted together with a suitable ECU tune. Check the product description, or ask our team.

Are aftermarket exhausts road legal in the UK?

In the UK, parts that remove a catalytic converter or petrol particulate filter (OPF/GPF), or that break noise limits, are not road legal and are sold for off-road and motorsport use only – this includes many de-cat downpipes and mid-pipes that delete a secondary catalyst. You're responsible for making sure parts are legal for how you use your car. See our off-road and EPA disclaimer, or ask our team before you buy.

Will a louder exhaust drone on the motorway?

Valved systems let you close the valves for quiet cruising, and many systems are designed to reduce drone at motorway speeds. Product pages describe each system's character – our team can help you choose one that suits how you use your G90 M5.
