BMW G30 5 Series Parts, Modifications & Accessories
The BMW 5 Series G30 Saloon launched in 2017, joined by the G31 Touring and the China-market G38 long-wheelbase saloon, with a facelift (LCI) in 2020. The range spans the 520d, with a 190PS, 400Nm B47 2.0-litre diesel, the 530e plug-in hybrid and the 540i, whose 3.0-litre B58 straight-six makes 340PS and 450Nm. At the top sits the twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 M550i xDrive, with 462PS before the facelift and 530PS after it. Almost all cars use the ZF eight-speed automatic.
The 540i is the enthusiast's choice and the focus of most performance parts. Deep Tone Industries sports-cat downpipes and exhaust systems, alongside Remus exhausts and exhaust tips, give the B58 the voice this refined saloon hides, and pair with a software tune for typically strong gains. On earlier cars, the B58's plastic charge pipe is worth replacing before raising boost, while Precision Raceworks injection, a Dorch Engineering high-pressure fuel pump and Pure Turbos upgrades support bigger builds.
Weight is the other theme. A G30 is a substantial car, so brake upgrades from EBC Brakes with MOTUL fluid, plus HARDRACE bush inserts, keep it composed. MMX and SHFT paddle shifters, MHC PLUS styling and Bimecc wheel spacers refresh the look and feel, and 520d and 530e owners often concentrate here, alongside service items such as oil, filters and spark plugs.
