The Tesla Model 3 is a four-door electric fastback saloon built since 2017, with UK deliveries from 2019. It is offered with a single rear motor or dual-motor all-wheel drive, and the Performance version adds Track Mode, 20-inch wheels and uprated brakes. The Highland update from late 2023 brought new lights, a reworked cabin and revised suspension; the 2024 Highland Performance is homologated at 460kW and adds adaptive dampers, a front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler.
With no engine to tune, Model 3 owners focus on stance, handling and styling. Eibach lowering springs drop the car by around an inch to close the wheel arch gap and reduce body roll, and they are the simplest way to sharpen a heavy battery car. Alloy wheels from TITAN 7 cut unsprung weight and transform the look, as long as offsets and tyre sizes are chosen carefully.
Brakes need a different approach on an EV. Regenerative braking means the friction brakes are used less, so discs and pads can corrode in UK winters, yet the car's weight puts heavy demands on them during track use. Pagid pads and fresh MOTUL or Castrol brake fluid suit both cases. For styling, Maxton Design and MHC PLUS provide front splitters, side skirts, rear diffusers and spoilers, with separate designs for pre-Highland and Highland cars.
