Which brake pads should I choose for my G90 M5?

Fast-road pads give more bite and less fade than standard pads while still working well from cold. Track pads cope with much higher temperatures but can be noisy, dusty and need heat to work at their best, so they suit cars that see regular track use.

Should I replace brake discs and pads together?

If your discs are worn close to their minimum thickness, scored or lipped, replace them with new pads. Fitting new pads to worn discs reduces performance and shortens pad life. Pad and disc kits make it easy to do both at once.

Do I need to bed in new pads and discs?

Yes. New pads and discs should be bedded in following the manufacturer's procedure – usually a series of firm stops from speed without coming to a complete halt – to lay down an even layer of pad material and get full performance.

How often should I change my brake fluid?

Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every two years. If you do track days, a high-temperature fluid and more frequent changes help prevent a soft pedal under heavy use.
