What's the difference between a rear exhaust, mid-pipe and downpipe?

A rear (often valved) exhaust section mainly changes the sound and look. Mid-pipes replace the centre section and are a popular way to add volume. Downpipes replace the section directly after the turbos and are usually paired with an ECU tune.

Do I need a tune after fitting downpipes?

In most cases, yes. Downpipes change the exhaust flow the engine sees, so they're normally fitted together with a suitable ECU tune. Check the product description, or ask our team.

Do G82 M4 exhausts fit the G80 M3?

In most cases, yes. The G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 share the S58 engine and exhaust layout, so exhaust systems are usually shared – but always check the fitment listed on each product.
