Product Details

The ARP head stud kit for the BMW S38 replaces the factory cylinder head bolts with high-strength ARP studs/bolts that clamp the cylinder head to the block. Designed for the S38, the motorsport-bred straight-six of the E28 and E34 M5, this is a critical upgrade where sustained high-RPM operation and hard track use demand the maximum possible clamping integrity. Standard torque-to-yield fasteners stretch permanently and lose clamping load over time — ARP hardware restores and increases that clamping force, helping prevent head gasket failure, cap walk and fastener fatigue.

Supplied as a complete, application-specific kit for the BMW S38, manufactured from premium ARP material with specialist heat treatment for maximum strength and durability.

Supplied with ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant and torqued in stages to ARP’s specification. After initial assembly, complete a full heat cycle and re-torque the fasteners for a lasting, reliable seal.
