By placing an order with R44 Performance for delivery outside the United Kingdom, you acknowledge and agree to the following International Shipping Terms & Conditions. These terms are intended to clearly outline responsibilities, risks, and liabilities associated with international shipments and to protect R44 Performance against circumstances outside of our control.

Customs Duties, Taxes & Import Charges

International shipments may be subject to customs fees, import duties, local taxes (including VAT or sales tax), brokerage fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost shown at checkout unless explicitly stated otherwise.

All customs duties, import taxes, and related charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. R44 Performance has no control over these charges and cannot predict or estimate their value.

Failure to pay any applicable customs or import charges may result in delays, refusal of delivery, return of the shipment, or destruction of the goods by the carrier or customs authorities.

Refused, Rejected & Undeliverable Shipments

If an international shipment is refused, rejected, or undeliverable due to:

  • Non‑payment of customs duties, taxes, or fees

  • Failure to respond to customs or courier requests

  • Inaccurate, incomplete, or insufficient delivery or contact information provided by the customer

The customer will be fully responsible for all costs incurred. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Return shipping costs

  • Handling and processing fees

  • Customs or carrier charges

  • Any additional fees imposed during transit or return

These costs will be deducted from any refund issued, where applicable. You will be notified of the deduction amount prior to the refund being processed.

Customs Delays & Condition of Returned Goods

If an international shipment is held by customs authorities or the courier for an extended period due to non‑payment of duties or taxes, or due to incorrect or incomplete customer information, the shipment may be returned to us in a compromised condition.

Upon return, all items will be inspected to assess their condition. Any loss in value resulting from:

  • Damage

  • Deterioration

  • Contamination

  • Packaging degradation

  • Reduced resale value

Caused by customs delays, storage conditions, or extended transit times will be deducted from any refund issued. Refunds, if applicable, will only be processed after inspection of the returned goods.

Abandoned, Destroyed or Non‑Returned Shipments

If an international shipment is:

  • Abandoned by the customer

  • Destroyed by customs or the carrier

  • Not returned to R44 Performance due to non‑payment of customs fees, import duties, or taxes

No refund will be issued. Ownership of the goods and responsibility for all associated costs remains with the customer once the order has been dispatched.

Import Compliance & Local Regulations

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the products ordered:

  • Comply with all import regulations, laws, and restrictions of the destination country

  • Are legal to import and use in their local jurisdiction

  • Meet any certification, emissions, road‑use, or regulatory requirements

R44 Performance accepts no liability for shipments seized, delayed, or refused by customs authorities due to non‑compliance with local laws or regulations.

Carrier, Customs & Force Majeure

R44 Performance is not responsible for delays, losses, or additional charges caused by:

  • Customs inspections or clearance procedures

  • Actions or decisions made by customs authorities

  • Carrier delays or operational issues

  • Government actions, strikes, natural disasters, or other force majeure events

Shipping timeframes provided at checkout or in correspondence are estimates only and are not guaranteed for international deliveries.

Acceptance of Terms

By completing a purchase with R44 Performance and selecting an international delivery address, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these International Shipping Terms & Conditions in full.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not place an international order with R44 Performance.
