Product Details

The ARP head stud kit for the BMW M50 / M52 / S50 / S52 replaces the factory cylinder head bolts with high-strength ARP studs/bolts that clamp the cylinder head to the block. Designed for BMW’s M50-family 24-valve straight-six, this is a critical upgrade a hugely popular base for turbo and supercharger conversions, where cylinder pressures climb well beyond standard. Standard torque-to-yield fasteners stretch permanently and lose clamping load over time — ARP hardware restores and increases that clamping force, helping prevent head gasket failure, cap walk and fastener fatigue.

Available options for this engine:

• Custom Age 625+ — a 280,000 psi super-alloy with outstanding fatigue life, the recommended choice for stroker, supercharged and turbocharged builds
• ARP2000 — a 220,000 psi alloy steel, the proven choice for performance builds and quality rebuilds
• Multiple stud/bolt sizing options (ARP2000 - 10 mm, Custom Age 625+ - 10 mm, 11 mm) to match your build

Supplied with ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant and torqued in stages to ARP’s specification. After initial assembly, complete a full heat cycle and re-torque the fasteners for a lasting, reliable seal.
