The BMW F98 X4 M is the Sports Activity Coupé partner to the X3 M, built from 2019 to 2025. It shares the 3.0-litre twin-turbo S58 straight-six, rated at 480 PS and 600 Nm, or 510 PS (503 bhp) as the Competition, which was the only version sold in the UK. The 2021 LCI raised Competition torque to 650 Nm. Power reaches the road through an eight-speed M Steptronic and M xDrive with an Active M Differential.
The S58 is a highly tunable engine, and the X4 M's sloping roof makes it the more dramatic-looking of the pair. For sound and response, Scorpion Exhausts and Deep Tone Industries sports-cat downpipes headline our range, alongside Akrapovic titanium systems and Precision Raceworks fuelling. Funk Motorsport heat management and MOTUL oils help the engine cope with repeated hard use.
