Do I need a cooling upgrade if my F82 M4 is tuned?

A tuned engine produces more heat, so uprated cooling helps prevent power loss from heat soak – especially in hot weather, on track or during repeated hard driving. It's one of the most common supporting mods alongside a tune.

What's the difference between an intercooler and a charge cooler?

An intercooler (air-to-air) cools the compressed air from the turbo before it enters the engine. A charge cooler (air-to-water) uses coolant instead, with a separate heat exchanger at the front of the car to cool that coolant. Upgrading either lowers intake temperatures and reduces power loss when hot.
