BMW F87 M2 Competition brake upgrades: pads, discs & brake kits

R44 Performance stocks 115 brake parts for the 2018–2021 BMW F87 M2 Competition. Parts include brake pads, pad & disc kits, brake discs and big brake kits, from brands including EBC Brakes, Pagid, Genuine BMW, MMX, Ferodo, MOTUL.

Fast-road pads give more bite and less fade than standard pads while still working well from cold, and matched pad and disc kits make it easy to replace both axles at once. For track days, add high-temperature brake fluid and braided lines for a firmer, more consistent pedal; big brake kits add larger discs and calipers for repeated hard stops.

Brakes are safety-critical. Check whether your car has standard or optional upgraded brakes (such as M Sport or carbon ceramic) before ordering, as parts differ. If you're unsure, send us your registration or VIN – and we fit brake upgrades at R44 HQ in Wembley.

F87 M2 Competition Braking FAQs

What brake parts are available for the F87 M2 Competition?

R44 Performance lists 115 brake parts for the BMW F87 M2 Competition, including brake pads, pad & disc kits, brake discs and big brake kits. Brands include EBC Brakes, Pagid, Genuine BMW, MMX, Ferodo, MOTUL, and every part is listed for the F87 M2 Competition – check each product page for body style and model-year fitment.

Which brake pads should I choose for my F87 M2 Competition?

Fast-road pads give more bite and less fade than standard pads while still working well from cold. Track pads cope with much higher temperatures but can be noisy, dusty and need heat to work at their best, so they suit cars that see regular track use.

Should I replace brake discs and pads together?

If your discs are worn close to their minimum thickness, scored or lipped, replace them with new pads. Fitting new pads to worn discs reduces performance and shortens pad life. Pad and disc kits make it easy to do both at once.

Do I need to bed in new pads and discs?

Yes. New pads and discs should be bedded in following the manufacturer's procedure – usually a series of firm stops from speed without coming to a complete halt – to lay down an even layer of pad material and get full performance.

How often should I change my brake fluid?

Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every two years. If you do track days, a high-temperature fluid and more frequent changes help prevent a soft pedal under heavy use.

Will a big brake kit fit behind my wheels?

Big brake kits need a minimum wheel size and enough caliper clearance. Check the minimum wheel size on the product page against your F87 M2 Competition's wheels, or ask our team to check before you order.
