The MMX BMW S58 & B48E Billet Oil Filler Cap is designed and machined in the UK from a solid piece of billet aluminium as a direct replacement for the factory plastic cap. It is not a cover glued over the original item: the OE cap is removed and this one takes its place, sealing on the same thread with the same torque.
Check The OE Part Number First
BMW uses several different oil filler cap threads across its modern range, so fitment is determined by the part number rather than by model. This cap replaces OE part number 11 12 8 654 637, which is stamped on the underside of the factory cap. Turning the existing cap over and reading that number takes seconds and guarantees the right part.
A Real Replacement, Properly Sealed
Stick-on caps add height, can work loose, and trap oil residue between the cover and the original plastic. A machined replacement carries its own seal, threads onto the cam cover exactly as the factory item does, and can be removed and refitted for every oil service without any loss of sealing integrity.

Remove the factory oil cap and read the part number moulded into the underside. If it reads 11 12 8 654 637, this cap fits.
Does it fit a B58 engine?
No. B58, N55, S54, S55 and S63 engines generally use OE cap 11 12 8 655 331, which MMX covers with a separate billet cap.
