The MMX BMW G99 M5 Touring Lowering Springs strike the balance the standard car misses: a more aggressive stance and sharper handling, with the ride comfort a car of this size and weight has to keep. The drop is approximately 25mm at the front and 15mm at the rear, closing the arch gap without upsetting how the G99 carries itself.
Sized For A Very Heavy Estate
The G99 M5 Touring is a large, heavy, all-wheel-drive car, and spring rates that suit a lighter saloon simply do not work on it. These springs are developed for the G99 specifically, with rates that control the mass properly while keeping enough compliance for the car to remain civilised on a long motorway run.
What Changes On The Road
Lowering the centre of gravity gives the G99 a more planted feel, with lighter, more responsive dynamics and noticeably crisper turn-in. Body movement is better controlled through direction changes, which on a car of this weight is where the difference is most obvious.

The visual effect is significant. The factory arch gap on the M5 Touring is generous, and closing 25mm at the front transforms the profile of the car without pushing it into the territory where the arches start catching tyre under compression.

No. The saloon has its own MMX spring set, matched to its different weight distribution.
Is an alignment needed after fitting?
Yes. Lowering the car changes its geometry and a four-wheel alignment afterwards is essential.
Will the springs work with the factory adaptive dampers?
They are developed for the G99 as delivered. Any non-standard damper setup should be checked before ordering.
