The MMX BMW F8X Underbody Chassis Brace is a direct replacement for the factory brace on the F80 M3, F82/F83 M4 and F87 M2. Machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium, it provides an additional 15mm of exhaust clearance while maintaining original ground clearance, and adds stiffness to the platform.
Clearance Without Compromise
The F8X platform is heavily modified as a rule, and larger diameter exhaust systems routinely foul the factory underbody brace. Owners are usually left choosing between cutting the brace and removing it, both of which cost structural rigidity. The MMX brace is designed to give 15mm of additional clearance while sitting no lower than the original.
Billet Construction, Stiffer Result
Machining from 6061-T6 billet allows material to be concentrated where the load paths run. The finished brace is stiffer than the pressed factory component, which sharpens how the chassis responds under steering input and through direction changes.
Direct Fit To Standard Mounting Points
Installation requires no cutting, drilling or modification. The brace suits road and track use, and is a natural fit for any F8X running a performance exhaust or built with chassis rigidity in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit a G8X car?
No. G Series M cars use a different brace – MMR13-1601 for the G80/G82 and MMR13-1600 for the G87.
Is the ground clearance reduced?
No. The additional exhaust clearance is designed into the shape of the brace rather than gained by dropping it lower.
