CSF has once again collaborated with Pacific German, a leading Southern California specialist in VAG vehicles based in Orange County, CA, to design, develop, and rigorously test the new intercooler kit specifically engineered for the Lamborghini Urus. This partnership ensures that the product meets the highest standards of performance and reliability demanded by enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The CSF Lamborghini Urus / Audi RS Q8 Twin Intercooler Set is crafted with precision to match the exact dimensions and mounting points of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) units it replaces. This meticulous engineering allows for a seamless "drop-in fit" installation, eliminating the need for any cutting, modifications, or additional aftermarket components such as shrouds or hoses. All original OEM mating components can be reused, preserving the integrity of the vehicle and simplifying the installation process.

One of the key design enhancements is the integration of the charge pipe into the top end tank. Unlike the factory’s bolt-on plastic pipe, CSF utilizes a robust aluminum welded pipe sealed with an inner O-Ring. This upgrade addresses a known issue with OEM O-Rings, which have been identified as a potential failure point causing boost leaks and triggering check engine lights, even on relatively new vehicles. This thoughtful engineering improvement enhances both reliability and performance under demanding conditions.

The intercooler cores are custom-built by PWR and specified by CSF to feature two rows of rolled cooling tubes with inner fins. This advanced core design surpasses traditional Bar & Plate or Tube & Fin intercoolers by significantly reducing heat soak and lowering intake air temperatures (IAT). The result is a highly efficient cooling system that maintains optimal performance during extended periods of high load, making it ideal for vehicles subjected to increased power levels through tuning or modifications.

Durability and strength are paramount in the construction of these intercoolers. The end tanks are CNC machined from billet aluminum and welded using 100% TIG welding techniques, a substantial upgrade over the OEM crimped plastic end tanks. This construction not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures long-lasting performance capable of withstanding elevated boost pressures associated with high-performance tuning and upgraded turbochargers.

The CSF intercooler set is available in two finishes: a raw billet aluminum finish (CSF #8211R) and a Thermal Dispersion Black ceramic coating (CSF #8211). The Thermal Dispersion coating is designed to improve heat dissipation, further optimizing the intercooler’s efficiency and durability under extreme operating conditions.
