The 5150 AutoSport Crankshaft Position Sensor allows you to pick up the crank position signal from the front of the engine, rather than the rear, which is beneficial in two specific applications:

1. OBD1 to OBD2 Conversions: Perfect for BMW M50 and S50 engines undergoing OBD1 to OBD2 conversion. 2. Stroker Builds: Ideal for BMW M50, M52, S50, S52, and M54 stroker builds. 5150 Stroker Cranks do not feature the same rear trigger ring as factory cranks, necessitating the migration of the CPS to the front of the engine.
