BMW M135i LCI F20/F21 Parts, Modifications & Accessories
The facelifted BMW M135i LCI arrived in 2015 and was sold until the M140i replaced it in 2016, again as the F20 five-door and F21 three-door. Its 3.0-litre N55 twin-scroll turbo straight-six gained 6PS to 326PS (321bhp), with torque unchanged at 450Nm, and drive goes to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or ZF eight-speed automatic. The LCI also brought revised lights and bumpers, which matters when choosing exterior parts. As the last N55 hatchback, it combines a well-understood engine with the sharper facelift look.
Because the LCI front and rear ends differ from the earlier car, aero and styling parts need to be LCI-specific. Maxton Design and Zaero Design front splitters, rear diffusers and spoilers are designed around the facelift bumpers, and GB Styling exterior parts complete the look.
The cabin is where most M135i owners start. Steering wheels from MHC PLUS, MOMO and Bimecc change how the car feels from the first mile, while SHFT paddle shifters and gear selectors make the eight-speed automatic more satisfying to use in manual mode. Tillett Racing Seats suit owners who track the car. Mechanically, the advice is the same as for any N55: upgrade the plastic charge pipe before a remap, and consider a limited-slip differential, as the factory diff is open.
