This August, R44 Performance flew out to Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania for the MPact Motorsports Festival - one of our favourite BMW Shows to attend. If you don't remember, we were here last year in our BMW G81 M3 Touring that we shipped over from our HQ in London, England. The event was spectacular in 2023 and 2024 did not disappoint!
Naturally, we had quite a few friends and customers hitting us up for some last minute parts so we showed up a few days early for some installs.
Our first stop was @g80_soom, now on his second G80 M3. His current M3 is an xDrive Competition finished in Frozen Pure Grey. In addition to a beautiful factory specification, the car also has a number of tasty modifications including some carbon fibre from MHC LDN, a Valvetronic titanium cat-back exhaust system, hybrid turbos, a CSF cooling package and more.
Unfortunately, he had picked up some cheap Alibaba carbon as well as some replica MHC twin fin front ducts. When ordering twin fin ducts online, you have to be very careful as the replicas out there are generally of very poor quality. Always look out for the MHC authenticity sticker and always use one of MHC LDN's network of authorised dealers.
The knock-offs suffered from a lot of distortion as well as a sub-par fit with cheap 3D-printed clips. We put those in the bin and installed a bran new set of authentic MHC LDN Twin Fins - the real deal!
These pair so well with the MHC LDN SP2 front lip on @g80_soom's car as the twin fins continue the aggressive lines of the splitter further into the bumper.
Our next stop was Nick @click_id who wanted to upgrade his G87 M2's current carbon lip to the MHC LDN Edition 1 front splitter. He already had the Edition 1 rear diffuser, so he's just missing the side skirts. What are you waiting for Nick? ;)
Prior to the show, we also supplied @1stockf30 with an AST ALS kit for his BMW G42 M240i xDrive running some serious power. He placed his order on Thursday night and it was with him by Friday midday.
Inside the show itself, we found so many incredible modified BMWs from the last 30 years. We were tripping over G80s on our way to the strip. If you've never been to MPact, you won't be familiar with the crazy roll-racing on the straight of Pocono Raceway - some trapping upwards of 180 mph.
For us now, it's on to BimmerInvasion in LA. See you there!
If you'll be attending the show, hit us up for some mods and we'll fly out and fit them. We'd love to work on some projects for the show.
