What's the difference between pre-preg, dry and wet carbon fibre?

Pre-preg carbon uses carbon sheets already impregnated with resin, cured under heat and pressure for a consistent, strong finish – usually with a gloss lacquer. Dry carbon normally means pre-preg cured in an autoclave with less resin, so it's lighter and stiffer and often has a matte or satin finish.
