At long last... Rhys' 2023 BMW G81 M3 Touring has arrived! To be honest, it actually arrived at the end of June, we've just been so busy with the Goodwood Festival of Speed, we didn't have time to release it yet...
With this being Rhys' personal car, he wanted to do something a little different. We've done track cars and now a drag build, but we've never done a fully-fledged show car.

The Build
Taking Delivery
We welcomed the M3 Touring at the Vossen Wheels factory in Miami, FL in its completely OEM state. Finished in Brooklyn Grey, the spec was fairly basic with no OEM carbon upgrades - the perfect base for a show car build.
First Photoshoot
The next morning, we were up bright and early for the G81's first photoshoot in the Miami sunrise. The Brooklyn Grey paintwork looked awesome in the morning sun but we had a more unique colour in mind for the build.
The Wrap
It was time to start wrapping, but not without stripping the car, the shuts need to be perfect! With Inozetek vinyl looking so much like paint, we like to go above and beyond with the wrap - hitting all the finest details.
For the colour, we chose Inozetek's Khaki Green. With the touring body style, we thought a bright colour wouldn't really suit the personality of the G81. For us, Khaki Green was perfect! The vinyl itself was very thick - typical of Inozetek. It's very difficult to work with but, when done right, the finish is incredible.
Soon after the wrap was complete, all the carbon fibre styling mods we shipped from the UK arrived. Determined to finish the car by the weekend, we worked non-stop to fit the full kit as quickly as possible so we could move on to this build's party piece!
Air Ride Suspension
That's right, we bagged the G81! We've been following the coilover route for years now and thought it was time for a change. We went for an Airlift 3P full air ride management system for that hella flush fitment!
The Wheels
The next day, Kyle from Vossen surprised us with a set of stunning S21-02 forged alloy wheels with a gloss clear finish. It's fair to say Rhys was absolutely blown away. Vossen manufactures absolutely incredible wheels with tailored fitment and in-house manufacturing. Inside their high-tech manufacturing facility in Miami, Vossen utilise a process developed to achieve uncompromised design and industry-leading quality standards.
It was a huge eye-opener touring their factory - their alloy wheels truly are engineered art.
With the new shoes on, the build was complete! Now time to hit the streets...
