The MMX BMW G8X Underbody Chassis Brace is a direct replacement for the factory brace on the G80 M3, G81 M3 Touring and G82/G83 M4. Machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium, it provides an additional 15mm of exhaust clearance while maintaining original ground clearance, and stiffens the platform in the process.
Room For A Proper Exhaust
Larger diameter aftermarket exhaust systems on a G8X commonly foul the standard underbody brace. Cutting the brace weakens it and removing it costs rigidity, so neither is a good answer. The MMX brace is designed around the exhaust path from the start, freeing 15mm of clearance without sitting any lower than the original component.
Stiffer Than The Part It Replaces
Machining from billet allows material to be placed where load is actually carried. The MMX brace is consequently stiffer than the factory item, which tightens the response of the platform under steering input and load transfer. On a car as capable as a G80 or G82, small gains in structural rigidity are felt directly through the steering.
Straightforward Installation
The brace uses the standard mounting points and requires no cutting, drilling or modification of any kind. It is suitable for road and track use, and is the sensible companion to any performance exhaust fitted to a G8X.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it fit a G87 M2?
No. The G87 uses a different brace, covered by MMX part MMR13-1600.
Does the car lose ground clearance?
No. The additional 15mm is created around the exhaust path, and the brace sits no lower than the factory item.
