The ARP connecting rod bolt set for the BMW S38 replaces the factory connecting rod bolts with high-strength ARP studs/bolts that clamp the connecting rod caps. Designed for the S38, the motorsport-bred straight-six of the E28 and E34 M5, this is a critical upgrade where sustained high-RPM operation and hard track use demand the maximum possible clamping integrity. Standard torque-to-yield fasteners stretch permanently and lose clamping load over time — ARP hardware restores and increases that clamping force, helping prevent head gasket failure, cap walk and fastener fatigue.
