The ARP head stud kit for the BMW N55 replaces the factory cylinder head bolts with high-strength ARP studs/bolts that clamp the cylinder head to the block. Designed for the N55 single-turbo straight-six, this is a critical upgrade where forced induction places extreme stress on the head gasket, main caps and connecting rods. Standard torque-to-yield fasteners stretch permanently and lose clamping load over time — ARP hardware restores and increases that clamping force, helping prevent head gasket failure, cap walk and fastener fatigue.
