The MMX BMW G20 M340i & M340d Lowering Springs give the G20 the stance it should have left the factory with, and sharpen its handling at the same time, without giving up everyday ride comfort. Separate spring rates are supplied for rear-wheel-drive and xDrive cars, since the two carry their weight differently and need different drops to sit level.
Two Versions, Two Drop Figures
The RWD version (MMR08-1102) lowers the car by 30mm all round. The xDrive version (MMR08-1101) drops 25mm at the front and 20mm at the rear, accounting for the extra weight the front axle carries on an all-wheel-drive car. Selecting the correct version is what produces a level, factory-looking stance rather than a nose-down or tail-high car.
Handling, Not Just Height
Lowering the centre of gravity is the point. The G20 responds with noticeably sharper turn-in, more precise mid-corner behaviour and less body roll under load. The rates are chosen so the car feels more responsive without becoming brittle over poor surfaces, which is the compromise that matters on a car most people drive every day.
Designed For The G20 Specifically
These springs are developed in-house for the G20 range rather than adapted from another platform, and they work with the OE dampers. They are finished in MMX metallic grey, a powder coat chosen for corrosion resistance rather than appearance, since a spring spends its life in the worst part of the car.

Which version is needed?
RWD cars take MMR08-1102 and xDrive cars take MMR08-1101. The drive type is the only thing that determines it, and fitting the wrong one will leave the car sitting unevenly.
Are new dampers required?
No. The springs are designed to work with the factory dampers.
Is an alignment needed after fitting?
Yes. Lowering a car changes its geometry, so a four-wheel alignment afterwards is essential.
